I made the following questionnaire to try and understand what an audience expects to see on a music promotional poster. My target audience falls within the range of 15-25 and the majority of my respondents (60%) were from the 18-20 bracket. This age is right in the middle of my target audience so it should give me a valid insight to my audiences requirements despite having no responses from the 21-25 age range. Most of my respondents were female but I got a mixture of different genders meaning my results wont be one sided to one gender. These results seem to agree that the band name, album name and release date are the most important aspects to see on a poster and my audience would want to see an image that relates to the album or art work that is easily recognised rather than a picture of the artist. When creating my poster I shall try to incorporate these ideas and aim to create a strong continuity between my products. All of the respon...
Here is a brainstorm of my initial ideas to showing the kind of themes locations, shots and editing techniques I'd like to incorporate into my music video. These ideas may be adapted or changed as I do more research into what my target audience would like to see in a video for this song and when planning my story board. I'll have to ensure my final ideas are doable and I have access to any equipment and supplies necessary to keep it organised and successful.
On Wednesday the 7th Feburary, I did my last bits of filming. I went to a nearby park that resembled Joydens wood and filmed what I needed with the newspaper for the first chorus and also filmed my actor in front of a projector on the same day. Here is my shooting schedule for these two sets of filming. This shooting schedule was a success as we didn't run over any of the time slots and we used the time we had very effectively. Due to the cold weather, the lighter didn't work to set the newspaper on fire and we agreed it may be dangerous to keep trying as we didn't have full control over where the flame would go as it was being unpredictable. In place of this scene, I filmed my actor ripping up the newspaper to dispose of it instead which we thought would still fit the story well, if nit better.
