Woods footage with Newspaper


Here is a collection of the footage I took in the woods with the newspaper. I'm very pleased with how this filming turned out as I managed to capture everything I wanted to include in the first verse of my music video. I decided against setting the newspaper on fire as I had originally planned as I thought it would be unsafe to do so. Instead of this, I filmed my actor ripping up the newspaper and throwing it in the air instead which I believe was equally, if not more effective. I will cut these clips and arrange them to fit in with the beats of the song and ensure there are no continuity issues. When editing, I will speed up this footage and add a tint to fit in with the 1930s genre and be consistent with the rest of the video.

Footage from the Drama Studio

Below is a summary of the footage I captured in the drama studio for the swing dance/dream sequence. Within this video I have shown the clips taken with usable footage in them. Although the routine was a little shaky at first, it didn't massively impact the filming as I'll only need clips of a few seconds at a time to overlay with other footage, meaning I'd cut the best parts out of these clips and include them in my video. When editing, I'd speed up the footage and add different effects to make it look more dreamlike and professional. Overall, this filming was a success as I was able to capture the swing era element of my chosen song and will be able to attract my audience with something that isn't often seen within modern music videos. Initial Ideas

  Here is a brainstorm of my initial ideas to showing the kind of themes locations, shots and editing techniques I'd like to incorporate into my music video. These ideas may be adapted or changed as I do more research into what my target audience would like to see in a video for this song and when planning my story board. I'll have to ensure my final ideas are doable and I have access to any equipment and supplies necessary to keep it organised and successful.
