Poster First Draft

Below is the first draft of my promotional poster. I'm pleased with how it looks as it is very consistent with my digipak and music video. It follows the main conventions of a poster as it has reviews and ratings, the record label logo, a website link and information of how to listen to it.


I am going to send this to members of my target audience to find out their opinions and find out if there is anything I could do to improve it.

I asked my focus group which font they preferred to use on my ancillary tasks as well as in my music video. They know my intial ideas and how I plan for the final outcome to be  and here is the feedback I received;  From these responses, the most popular fonts were 1 and 5. I've decided to use font 1 as it is easy to read and and will fit in with the genre of my video. This font is called 'Andes'. I like it because it's reflective of the 1930s era and is eye-catching to the viewer which will draw their attention to my digipak and poster. This font isn't installed onto my school account and I had trouble downloading it from the free website 'DaFont' to then use on Photoshop and premiere pro due to downloading restrictions. To overcome this problem, I will type in the text I want to include on the website then screenshot and edit it to add on to my music video and ancillary tasks.
