My Equipment

When filming my music video, I will need to use a variety of different types of equipment including a camera, tripod and lights.

The camera that I'll use is a 'Canon eos 1100D'. I decided to use this camera because it would take high quality videos and photographs that I could use for my filming. Due to it being my own camera, it would be available whenever I needed it and would have full access to it to film whenever and wherever I needed. I have used it many times in the past so I am comfortable with how it works and how to use the different settings in order for me to capture the best visuals as possible.

I would use a tripod with my camera to prevent any shaky footage. This will ensure that the camera will be static so therefore be able to obtain suitable and professional looking clips to create a good quality music video. I also own my own tripod so will again be able to use it whenever and wherever I need to, to help speed up the process of creating my video.

I will use numerous lights when filming in the drama studio for the dream sequence in my video. I own a disco light and have knowledge about how it works so will therefore be able to change the settings to fit the musicality of the song. I wanted to use this light as it would add movement and a greater variety of colours and a chaotic atmosphere. I will also use other studio lights when filming this that are owned by the school.
